Many SnapFlyer users dispense fruit flies they already bought. Model P snaps onto popular fabric-vented cups—choose Pro-Froggy for volume or Nano-Spoody for precision feeding.
The All-In-1 kit includes reusable hardware plus starter consumables. Pour hot water in the cup to mix media, vent with disposable pads, and dispense through the sealed spout module.
Everything for dispensing cleanly from day one—or culturing your own fruit flies. Lid, spout module, transfer bottle, vent pads, cup, and honeycomb climbing sheet.
Snap. Dispense. Feed. The same modular system whether you dispense fruit flies you already bought or culture your own.
Step 1
Vent and seal
Press in a fabric vent pad (2 seconds) and dock the dispensing spout module on your SnapFlyer lid—prep the lid before you snap onto any culture.
Step 2
Snap on or culture
Snap your prepared lid onto a store-bought culture from PetSmart, Petco, or Josh's Frogs, or mix media in a hot-water 32 oz cup with the All-In-1 kit.
Step 3
Dispense with control
Connect your transparent transfer bottle for a sealed path. Rotate to the feed position, tap flies into the bottle, seal again, and see exactly how many you're feeding—no shaking, no floor full of escapees.
Step 4
Dust and feed
Dust flies in the bottle if needed, then feed your dart frogs, jumping spiders, or tarantulas. Seal the culture when you're done.
Hot water guide:32 oz cups can take boiled water for media prep. SnapFlyer lids are PLA—when a culture is finished and you're starting a new one, rinse the lid with cold water only, never boiling water on the lid itself.
Made for serious dart frog, spider, and mini gecko keepers.
The story behind SnapFlyer
I'm Yannick, the creator of SnapFlyer and a long-time frog keeper myself. I used to dread feeding time. Shaking fruit flies out of setups that relied on expensive specialty lids and cups was a nightmare—flies everywhere, wasted culture, and a spouse who was (rightfully) furious as my frog room took over.
After 300+ iterations and a small mountain of prototypes tested on countless cultures, I built SnapFlyer: a modular system with reusable lids, a sealed dispensing spout, and disposable vent pads. Whether you snap onto store-bought cultures from PetSmart and Petco or culture in hot-water 32 oz cups, the goal is the same—controlled pours, no escapees, and supplies that don't break the bank.
In 2026, dispensing and culturing fruit flies doesn't have to be costly or messy.
No more escapees.Total control over every pour.
Your workflow.Model P to upgrade store-bought cultures, or the All-In-1 kit for culturing in market-compatible 32 oz cups. Traditional specialty lids still make sense for large-scale farms; for most home racks, SnapFlyer plus affordable cups is the sweet spot.
Snap. Dispense. Culture. No Mess.

A few practical details from the keeper who built SnapFlyer for their own racks first.
Can I use SnapFlyer just to dispense store-bought fruit flies?
Yes—many keepers use SnapFlyer only for dispensing flies they already bought. Grab a culture at PetSmart, Petco, or Josh's Frogs and snap on Model P. Model P fits many popular store-bought cups right away. Not sure about your cup? Send a photo on Instagram and we'll confirm fit.
What's in the All-In-1 Dispensing & Culture Kit?
One reusable SnapFlyer lid, one dispensing spout module, one modular transfer bottle, three fabric vent pads, one 32 oz cup, and a honeycomb paper climbing sheet. Everything you need to dispense—and culture—from day one—see the full listing on Etsy.
Can I pour hot water in the cup to mix media?
Yes—the 32 oz cup in the culture kit can take boiled water for media prep and hot-water washing. The SnapFlyer lid is 3D-printed PLA: rinse it with cold water only, never boiling water on the lid itself.
Pro-Froggy vs Nano-Spoody—which Model P should I pick?
Pro-Froggy moves more flies at once—great for dart frog vivariums or multiple hungry animals. Nano-Spoody dispenses a few flies at a time for precision feeding (jumping spiders, small geckos). Both include the transfer bottle so you can see and control counts. Browse options on Etsy.
Will it work with the cups I already have?
Model P fits most standard 16–32 oz vented cups from major pet stores. The culture kit cup matches the most common 32 oz fruit fly culture rim size. Some cup rims differ—if yours doesn't fit the hot-cup kit lid, Model P is the right upgrade. If you want to double-check, .
How do I save money compared to traditional culturing setups?
Traditional setups often mean buying integrated specialty lids again and again. SnapFlyer is one reusable lid—you keep the hardware and only replace vent pads (and cups if you choose). The 6-cup + 18-pad refill bundle restocks a rack at well below typical market prices.
The lid is reusable—rinse with cold water only when a culture is finished and before you start a new one (a soft brush helps). Vent pads are disposable: swap in a fresh pad for each new culture in about two seconds. Cups can be washed with hot water or replaced affordably from our refill bundle.
Is this different from traditional integrated culture lids?
Traditional specialty lids make sense for large-scale fruit fly operations or pet stores that ship flies. For the average home keeper, integrated fabric lids aren't built for repeat use—you discard the whole lid each round. With SnapFlyer's patent-pending system you reuse the durable lid and only discard the vent pad per culture. Many keepers find that cleaner than washing integrated specialty setups.
